The government lifted natural-gas supply restrictions after SPEC in Cartagena recovered regasification capacity, El Tiempo reported. The relief ends a rationing cycle but leaves a structural risk: Colombia still depends on one operating LNG terminal.

What it means

With domestic gas declining, security of supply requires more import gates, firm contracts and exploration—not just temporary capacity bumps in Cartagena.
